Now that the weather is below zero and just way too cold to be outdoors for too long, I am itching to do more indoor engagement/family shoots. Luckily, this downtown Toronto engagement session took place during the Spring and boy, was it a good time to be outdoors! I am totally reminiscing with this blog post!
Over the years, I have come to love working with light. It comes with a certain set of challenges that lights a fire under me. Give me a room with window light and I could be there all day playing with all the different angles. Luckily for me, K & S wanted to start their engagement shoot inside their beautiful Toronto home so they could get some photos with their most photogenic cat! We did a few inside their home and then a few up on the rooftop of their condo building to get some photos with the sun setting in the city. Then we made our way to Trinity Bellwoods park for the second half of their engagement session on Queen Street West. For me, I always tend to shy away from busy parks but Trinity Bellwoods and the surrounding streets has tons to offer! As I mentioned, this Toronto engagement session was done in the Spring so we were lucky get some sweet pink Magnolia trees in some photos!! I love that with this engagement session downtown Toronto, we were able to get such a large variety of indoor and outdoor shots.
I hope you enjoy looking through these photos and are inspired to perhaps get snuggly with your partner and/or pets for some photos, especially since the season has changed! I always hear people asking for indoor location suggestions for photoshoots but really, the best spot is your own home! It carries more sentimental value than anywhere else and there will always be good light as long as there are windows!
