Sydenham Ridge Estate Wedding | Toronto, Kingston & PEC Wedding Photographer

I’ve moved around a lot in the past several years, ever since I graduated from university. One city life threw at me was London, ON – the city I moved to after a year stint of living abroad in France. That was actually when I started my photography business believe it or not! Of course, I’ve since kept my home base for my wedding photography business – Toronto – despite all my moving around but it’s been amazing getting to know and photograph all these different venues in the Southwestern Ontario area. During and since my time there, I’ve had the chance to photograph and discover the wedding venues the City of London has to offer. What surprised me was how this venue featured below, Sydenham Ridge Estate completely flew under my radar. The thing is.. it really is one of the best venues in the London / South Western Ontario yet! Sydenham Ridge Estates has everything you need to get married – two separate cottage spaces for the wedding party to get ready and stay with their family/friends, a separate barn area for cocktail hour/whatever you want, an outdoor ceremony space and just a crazy amount of nature (50 acres to be exact), trees and fields for wedding photos! S & P held there wedding here and it was truly one of the highlights of the summer. Everything was simple, minimal but elegant at the same time with their barn reception. My favourite details of the day were their harvest tables and simple greenery garland that were accented with handmade plexiglass table numbers! With a space so grand and cozy, it really doesn’t take much to pretty up a space!

The day started off gloomy that slowly turned into a big down pour. The couple were originally planning to get married in the outdoor ceremony spot by the 200 year old oak tree but plans changed and with the help of their family and friends, they were able to rearrange chairs to have the wedding ceremony inside the reception space. The beautiful thing about it all was the natural light that came in as the rain died down as soon as the bride walked down the aisle. Everything from then on went on without a hitch and the sun did decide to appear. The guests were able to enjoy games and cocktails outdoors and then proceeded inside the barn for the reception. The day ended with the most beautiful sunset as we did photos in super pretty light. It was such a perfect day despite the little hiccup at the beginning!
