Last year I had the opportunity to shoot a Skyloft Resort Wedding alongside Hugh Whitaker. It was my first time shooting at Skyloft but man, was it more than I could ever imagine. It may or may not have been due to the rainy, misty and foggy weather but the whole vibe of the wedding venue reminded me so much of the West Coast. Skyloft’s wedding ceremony spot is atop a hill overlooking vast land and water – it’s probably one of the best views you could get here around the Toronto area. On a clear day, Skyloft offers views all the way across Lake Ontario to New York State, however, despite the weather wet and gloomy, it was still one of the prettiest places to get married! 

J & K last minute decided to move their ceremony indoors – which is equally as stunning with its post and beam ceilings – fit with stone fireplaces! It was a beautiful sight being able to look out towards the hills with the floor to ceiling windows. The whole place adorned with gorgeous flowers from none other than Coriander Girl . It was the best case scenario and the rain stopped before the time came for cocktails and portraits. To top off the night, Karen’s girlfriends surprised her with the most amazing choreographed dance to Justin Bieber!
