Intimate Downtown Toronto Wedding at George Restaurant | Toronto, Ottawa & PEC Wedding Photographer

Last summer, I had the immense privilege of photographing the union of R & B. From the moment I met these two, it was like everything was right in the world. R & B are literally what I would call #couplegoals. They are incredibly down to earth, carefree and just the kindest and most fun people to hang around. Their wedding reflected everything that was important to them – their closest friends and family. Their intimate toronto wedding was held at the George Restaurant on Queen Street East.

The day started off as relaxed as a wedding day could. R got ready with her father, brother, best friend and of course, her soon to be husband, B was also around. It was just like any other day – hanging out! The getting ready definitely set the precedent for the whole wedding day – where things just flowed smoothly with around 30 of their family and friends. Their ceremony was intimate and full of personal touches. It held in the courtyard at the George Restaurant with their close friend officiating and they walked down the aisle with a string quartet playing a song R’s mom and dad picked out and transcribed for them for their wedding day. Unfortunately R’s mom passed away just shortly before the wedding day but she was definitely present in every other way, including a special bracelet R and her brother wore during the day.

Their wedding reception was held in a private room at the back of the restaurant. It was romantic, light-hearted, sweet and just such a joy to be apart of. Coming from a musical background, throughout the day, they had multiple live musicians come play – including a jazz band that R ended up singing along with.

It was one of those days that I wish never ended. I loved so much being apart of the day and being witness to the union of such special relationship, but also to such a special family bond they have.

**One of the images of R & B during their reception was chosen to be displayed as part of the Love (Actually) Exhibition held at the Gladstone Hotel earlier this year in February. The Love (Actually) Exhibition is a group photography event showcasing the power of love and happiness in real moments during weddings. A completely candid photo of the couple under the perfect light in the hallway just outside of their private dining room. Little did I know, they were just waiting in line for the washroom but seriously in the cutest and romantic way possible right?! **
